My first best moment was bonding with all the students in general. Of course, over the span of 3 days, I couldn't get the chance to become the greatest of friends with everyone, but there was definitely some gain in there. A lot of people I just barely knew such as Erik and Destrey, I became a lot closer to and now they are two of my really good friends. I got to interact with everyone else a lot too, with all those mini games, the charades/telephone game, guess that song, the mirror game, ext. I got to get a lot closer to everyone.
Next, Uncle Billy. Now, when I heard when Uncle Billy was coming up, I admit, I was really excited. I met him in 4th grade when my class went up there for a night, and he told us all these ghost stories about the early Hawaiians and such, they were scary as a kid, and I new that those same stories were still scary for some of them. (I wasn't scared. Yeah, I'm brave.) Uncle Billy is a really nice guy if you get on his good side. (Not saying he has a bad side of course)
Last but not least, The night hike. I think their goal was to scare us, but it ended up being really funny for me and the guys. Because of the 'ladies first' rule, all the girls got to go up front and they got the first hand experience, while the guys were stuck in the back like "What's going on?" "Why are the girls screaming to turn our flash lights off? Now we can't see." "Ow! I tripped over a log!" And my personal favorite... "Hey! You hear that? It's one el Chupacobra..." (I think Chupacabra is the Mexican version of Bigfoot or something) Anyways, the hike seemed scary for the people up front, they kept saying they saw eyes of something, I don't know, but it was funny.
In conclusion, I had a great time during the hike. I got to bond with people, have some fun, and get some work in too. Even though we didn't have power half the time. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed my blog. I am looking forwards to a good nights sleep for tomorrow, so anyways, see you guys in my next blog. Bye bye!
Oh did I mention the trip was during my Birthday? :)
