Hey guys, Ben back with another blog. Before I start this blog, I just wanted to ask, how was Halloween for you guys? Me personally, it went great. I have a pile of candy right next to my computer and a lollipop in my mouth as I write this. Anyways, this weeks blog is about my project. More to the point, am I behind, on schedule, or ahead? Well, I can say right now that we are technically behind. And I will give you three reasons why.
My first reason is because based on the schedule of when certain things are due leading up to the project, we are behind. According to that, ALL interviews should be done by this Friday, and we haven't got one get. We have scheduled one for sometime around the 17th (I know, shes on a business trip) But other than that, we got nothing. Hopefully Dylan did what I asked and got us an interview for this weekend, but we'll just have to see.
Another reason I feel we are behind is because of how bi our project is. When I presented our idea to Mr. M, he spoke about how hard this could be to pull off, and I agree, that's why I hesitated on doing it. He said on how we'll have to evenly present both sides, which means more interviews, and how with everything put together, this could be a 3 - 4 minute video. So cramming all that into 2 months could be difficult.
Lastly, I wanted to talk about my plans for this project. Like every project, my "plan" never really goes accordingly, but I'll throw it out there anyways. So what I'm hoping to do is get an interview or two this weekend, transcribe both of them, maybe build part of the script, then, get the last interview, transcribe that, fill in the rest of the script. Then film B-roll that weekend. After we finish that, we edit everything together and boom! A video is born. Pretty simple but I hope it works.
In conclusion, that is where I feel are at with our project, I am looking forward to reading your guy's blogs really just to see where all you guys are at and see if I am all alone here. Well, looks like we'll have to find out.
