Hey guys, Ben back with another free blog, this week's free blog is going to be about my Inside Scoop Dylan and I are doing. Our Inside Scoops are due next week Thursday, and I think we are mostly on track. I mean, we are definitely doing better than last time, we have class tomorrow, and we are almost done with all our scripts. I am hoping that we can finish them all tomorrow, and then get feedback, then record on Wednesday, so that we have Friday and the weekend to edit them, and we'll have them ready for fixing on Tuesday. That never goes how I plan it, but i'm crossing my fingers anyways, until then, see you guys later!
Hey guys, Ben back with another blog. This week's blog is about our PSA, and how we thought it went. If you guys didn't know, our PSAs were due last week Friday, and I did meet the deadline, and I think it went really well. If you guys haven't seen my PSA, it's in the "Projects" tab under "8th Grade Year Projects" and then "3rd Quarter." Anyways, lets get right into this blog.
First, I think the GTA 5 Machinima idea really worked out, it looked cool and it really helped with the whole "First person" aspect as well as helped with the crash part. I did a lot of editing, and I mean A LOT of editing in order to get the pop ups to fill the screen, and actually make the viewer themselves distracted from the road, just like the driver was. I showed a couple people and asked them that question, and they were all very impressed and said they didn't know when that car crash was coming. Second, I think that it went really well because I finished a couple days BEFORE the deadline. Of course that was my 1st draft, so I had to go and edit a couple more things, but I didn't have to change so many things, just a few editing tweaks and a voice over at the end. Because I finished so early, it's going to give me a lot of time to work on my Inside Scoop coming up, and I will get a really big head start with my 4th quarter project. Lastly, I don't think there in a lot of things that I could have done better in this, everything seemed just in place. But there is always something you can fix. I think that I could, if I knew how, added a lot more fancy animations for the text messages, notifications, and pop ups, instead of just a lot of sliding and fading. The phone icon did have a little skinny box around it left over from when I was trying to green screen it with Keyer, so that was a misfortune that I could have fixed, but didn't have the time. Other than that, there isn't many other things I needed to work on, but then again, I'm just a student. In conclusion, that is how I feel my PSA went. I think I will edit this down to 25 seconds from 30 seconds so that I can enter it in the Olelo contest, even though they may not take it because of copyright, but it's worth a shot. Either way, I think this has been my best PSA so far, and I am very happy with it, until next time, bye! Hey guys, Ben back with another free blog, this week's free blog is going to be about my PSA. Now, me, and along with a lot of other teens, we don't really read the newspaper, of watch the news. They usually get their news from Social Media, but I don't really like Social Media, I just don't get it. So, I don't really get a lot of news that is happening around the world.
First, the news that I do get, or at least I find interesting, is video game news. This news basically consists of GTA 5 News, and Call of Duty News. What I mean by that is what is happening with the latest video games, and new games that are just coming out. For example, news that I get for COD includes the latest patch notes of what new content Trayarch added in the latest update. That is how I got the info for the new weapons they added, such as the Wrench, Brass Knuckles, and the Butterfly Knife. An example of GTA 5 news is basically the same thing, News on what new guns, cars, and outfits they added to GTA 5 Online in the last update. Such as the Valentines Update. Or news of the latest glitches, or Easter Eggs that have been found that we can try ourselves and have a good time. Lastly, where do I get this news from? Like I said, I am not a fan of Social Media, such as Twitter and Instagram, so I get all my video game news from YouTube channels that focas on the video games that I play. I get all my Call of Duty news from channels like XclusiveAce, Drift0r, and PrestigeIsKey. And I get my GTA 5 news from ICrazyTeddy and DomisLive. In conclusion, that is where I get all my news, and what I am interested in. I am sorry that this blog is so short, but there isn't really much to talk about from my side, and I don't really listen to the news unless it's really important. See you guys later! Hey guys, Ben back with another blog. This week's free blog is going to be about my 4th Quarter project Idea. Since I am almost done with my PSA, I will be focusing on my 4th quarter project and my Inside Scoops coming up. So I have been thinking about this idea ever since 2nd quarter, and I think it's a really good idea. Since I think Mr. M thinks that doing a Machinima was a good idea, I want to do another one, but this time, I want it to be a movie trailer. My idea is basically a world where superheros do exist, but because of growing technology, a new personal self defense system has gotten rid of the need for superheros, but the superheros don't want to be replaced, so their plan is to create a villain that can bypass the self defense system, so that the superheros will have to help again. This idea took a long time to think of, and I feel that it's going to be a good video.
Hey guys, Ben back with another blog. This week's blog is about the Kauai Museum Art contest and the Olelo Youth XChange. The Kauai Museum Art contest is a contest where you can submit a photo with any theme. And the Olelo Youth XChange is a contest we can submit our news stories from the last semester to.
First, what will I submit to the Kauai Museum Art contest? Well, for some reason we all have to submit a photo, even though I really don't want to because we got the news so fast, and since photography isn't really my profession. But since I have to, I will probably submit one of the photos I took when the whole class went to Kokee, and we took pictures on the hike, I got a couple good pictures of flowers, so I'll just submit that. Second, will I be submitting on of my news stories to the Olelo Youth XChange? My answer to that is no. One of the reasons why I won't is because I don't have the time to go back and edit my video again to meet their standards because of my PSA, Inside Scoop, and my Advisory game. But the biggest reason is that I would have to edit it down to 2 minutes. And I know would have a problem with this. All my videos were over 2 minutes, and even then I was having trouble fitting the most important pieces of information into the video. I just feel that If I did get rid of a lot of the information, I wouldn't be happy with how the video looked. Lastly, if I was able to edit one of my videos down, it would have to be the Mahalapu Dairy Farm project. That was my best news story I ever made, and it looked really good except for a couple things that were unfix-able, but If I could edit that down from 5 minutes to 2 minutes, I would submit it, but like I said, I would be getting rid of a lot of valuable information. In conclusion, that is what I am going to be submitting for the Kauai Art Museum contest, and why I won't be submitting anything for the Olelo Youth XChange contest. I am looking forward to seeing what you guys said about it, so until then, see you guys later. |
