First Week Of School

Hello, everyone! This is my first blog for the new Media year! Yay! ;) So this weeks topic is our first week of school and how it was. For me, it is my second year, so it wash't scary or anything, but, it was pretty confusing because of 3 new things. The new bell schedule, sharing the 8th grader building, and new classes.

First, also, the worst. The new bell schedule. I mean, I think I can speak for everyone here, that is was a bad idea. I mean, it isn't that bad, the only bad things are that they added 45 minutes to the school day, they but advisory to the middle of the day. A team has advisory first, while team B eats lunch. Then we switch. So I can't hang out and eat lunch with my friends on team B. It's sad, really. ;( The last thing is, well, this isn't for everyone, but for the second round of buses, they made the wait from 30-40 minutes, to 50-60 minutes. WHY??? What the heck messed up the busses? I ride C-11, and I don't know what happened to the other bus, but now we have to share a bus with another bus, so last year we could have as many seats as we wanted, even take a nap if we wanted, now some of us have to triple up! It sucks!

Second, We have to share the 8th grade building. This isn't the worst, it isn't that bad. It seems cool to be in the 8th grader building even though I am a 7th grader. Makes me feel more mature and bigger. Is that weird? I think so. The only bad thing is that we only have 3 minutes to get from the 7th grader building to the 8th grader building. I could easily make it their in 3  minutes, but my teacher usually gives the homework after the bell rings, then I have to walk to the 8th grader building, and a lot of people go upstairs, so it is a huge traffic jam going up the stairs. Since I am smaller, I get bumped around and stopped in my tracks. So if I fast walk, or run, I make it before the bell rings, but If I walk, I never make it.

The last reason is new classes, this was bound to happen okay. Everyone has it. It is especually bad for the 6th graders since they have all of this and I new school. I am just so used to the same teachers, the same class routine, the same homework, that it was just difficult to change for the first few days. New teachers, new classes, and so. It was pretty funny, that on the first day that everyone was there, I walked into the 6th grader building and started walking to science. I was at the stairs when I realized that I was in the wrong building.

In conclusion, this week has been a so - and - so. I really hope that I feel better about this whole change in a few weeks. Wish me luck!

The new changes this school year are going to take some getting used to. I just want to caution you to try to keep things positive. Let's work on looking on the bright side of things instead of just the dark. I realize that there are some negative things that have come with the new changes but I challenge you to come up with a few that are positive. Can you do it? I'm sure you could if you tried! Let's see what you can come up with and add it to my comment here.
